Properties:

Nifuroksazide has antibacterial activity against most bacteria causing intestinal infections. The drug is active against Gram-positive cocci of the genera Staphylococcus and Streptococcus as well as Gram-negative microorganisms. It has no effect on bacteria of the genus Proteus, Pseudomonas, Providentia. It does not disturb the proper microbiological balance of the digestive tract. The drug acts quickly, only in the intestinal lumen, is not absorbed from the gastrointestinal tract, and has no systemic effect. it is quickly excreted from the body.
