Indications:
The indication for the use of Stoperan is the symptomatic treatment of acute diarrhea. Symptomatic treatment of chronic diarrhea occurring in inflammatory bowel diseases, functional disorders of the digestive tract and irritable bowel syndrome. Stoperan can be used simultaneously with causally acting drugs.
Features:
Stoperan calms the intense intestinal peristalsis and increases the absorption of water in the intestines, thus enabling a faster return to normal life activity.
Stoperan can be used at the first severe symptoms of diarrhea, which helps avoid troublesome complications, which are especially common among children and the elderly. Accelerated intestinal transit is slowed down, which in turn reduces the frequency and number of bowel movements, thus reducing the risk of dehydration and loss of electrolytes that occur in the course of diarrhea.
How to use:
The maximum daily dose for adults in the case of acute diarrhea is 8 capsules (16 mg), and in the case of chronic diarrhea - 6 capsules (12 mg).
The maximum daily dose for children aged 9 to 12 in the case of acute and chronic diarrhea is 3 capsules (6 mg).
The maximum daily dose for children aged 6 to 8 years in the case of acute diarrhea is 3 capsules (6 mg), and in the case of chronic diarrhea - 2 capsules (4 mg).
Contraindications:
Stoperan should not be used if you are hypersensitive to loperamide or any of the ingredients of the drug.
