Allertec WZF coated tablets are a drug for use in the symptoms of seasonal and chronic allergic rhinitis and urticaria. The cetirizine contained in the drug can be used in adults and children over 6 years of age.
Composition:
The active substance is: cetirizine dihydrochloride. 1 film-coated tablet contains 10 mg of cetirizine dihydrochloride (Cetirizini dihydrochloridum).

DOSAGE
Always use this medicine exactly as described in this leaflet or as directed by your doctor or pharmacist.
Children aged 6-12 years: half a tablet (5 mg) twice daily.
Adults and adolescents over 12 years of age: 1 tablet (10 mg) once daily.
The medicine can be taken without regard to meals, but the tablets should be swallowed with a glass of water. The duration of treatment is individual, however, Allertec WZF should not be used for longer than 10 days without consulting a doctor.
ACTION
Allertec WZF has antiallergic (antihistamine) properties. Cetirizine, the active substance of the drug, has an antagonistic effect on H1 receptors. By blocking histamine receptors, it reduces allergy symptoms.
INDICATIONS

CONTRAINDICATIONS
Do not use Allertec WZF in case of hypersensitivity to cetirizine, hydroxyzine, piperazine derivatives or any of the excipients of the drug. Contraindications to the use of Allertec WZF tablets are severe renal dysfunction with creatinine clearance less than 10 ml/min.
SIDE EFFECTS
Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everyone will experience them. WARNINGS AND PRECAUTIONS
The medicine contains lactose - do not use in patients with intolerance to some sugars. If the patient has kidney problems, a lower dose of the medicine may be necessary.
