Altacet gel is a modern preparation for local use in the case of injuries and contusions, as well as swelling caused by first-degree burns. Altacet effectively reduces tissue swelling, relieves symptoms of inflammatory reaction, and also reduces pain.

Indications:

Altacet is applied topically to the skin:

in bruises
in joint and post-traumatic swelling
in swelling caused by first degree burns

Action:

When applied to the skin, the drug has an astringent and anti-swelling effect, while also relieving pain. The excipient menthol has a local cooling effect.

Contraindications:

Altacet should not be used:

if the patient is allergic to the active substance - Aluminum acetate tartrate or any of the other ingredients of this drug
orally
in the case of extensive wounds
on damaged skin and areas of skin with visible eczema
on infected skin
long-term
in children under 3 years of age

Use:

Always use this medicine exactly as described in the patient information leaflet or as directed by your doctor or pharmacist.

Unless your doctor recommends otherwise, use as described below.

Adults and children over 3 years of age:

The medicine is intended for topical use on the skin. Altacet should be applied to clean, dry skin in painful areas 3 to 4 times a day, at intervals of several hours, preferably in the form of compresses.

Do not use the medicine in an occlusive dressing or wrap the compresses in foil. Only drying compresses can be used.

After using the medicine, wash your hands, unless the treatment concerns them.

Use with caution in children.
