Fenistil is a gel for use on the skin. When applied to the skin, the drug has a local anti-allergic effect, has a strong anti-itching effect (excluding cholestatic pruritus), reduces swelling and soothes irritations.
Action:
Fenistil contains the active substance dimetindene maleate, which inhibits the action of histamine - a compound responsible for allergic reactions. When applied to the skin, the drug has a local anti-allergic effect, has a strong anti-itching effect (excluding cholestatic pruritus), reduces swelling and soothes irritations. It has local anesthetic properties. It cools, which additionally soothes irritated skin.
Indications:
Itching associated with skin diseases, hives, insect bites, sunburn, superficial skin burns (first degree).
