Preparations for herpes, a viral disease characterized mainly by burning, itching, redness and the formation of periodically bursting blisters filled with serum, now come in many forms. Their task is to cure this (not only) cosmetic defect effectively and as quickly as possible. Oral medications in the form of tablets for herpes are based mainly on the antiviral acyclovir, which inhibits the multiplication of viruses from the Herpes group. Individual herpes preparations differ mainly in the content of acyclovir in one dose, which usually ranges from 200 to 400 mg.
