In the past, the lungwort was called lungwort, according to its Latin name Pulmonaria (pulmones - lungs). It was used to treat respiratory diseases. The main active ingredients of lungwort include silicon compounds (easily digestible silica), allantoin, saponins, mucus, tannins, flavonoids (quercetin), pyrrolizidine alkaloids (trace amounts), chlorogenic acid, ellagic acid, rosmarinic acid and anthocyanins.
Lungwort macerate:
Pour half a cup of crushed herb with 2 cups of boiled water; set aside for 5-6 hours, strain. Drink 100 ml twice a day. The macerate can be stored in the refrigerator for 2-3 days. In detoxification treatments: drink 200 ml during the day in small portions.
Lungwort decoction:
Pour 1-2 tablespoons of crushed herb with 1 glass of water; cook 10 minutes; set aside for 30 minutes, strain. Drink 200-400 ml during the day in 50 ml portions. You can wash your skin with the decoction.
The decoction and macerate can be used to prepare a tonic: to 100 ml of the infusion or macerate, pour 100 ml of water boiled with 5% vinegar, 100 ml of 40-70% alcohol (salicylic, formate or camphor spirit can be used), or 100 ml of dry white wine, mix.
