Marshmallow syrup is a herbal syrup that soothes coughs that cause irritation of the throat mucosa. Its main ingredient is marshmallow root macerate.
Indications:
Marshmallow syrup is a traditional herbal medicinal product used to relieve irritation of the mucous membrane of the upper respiratory tract accompanied by cough.
Dosage:
Always use this syrup exactly as described in the package leaflet or as directed by your doctor or pharmacist. If in doubt, ask your doctor or pharmacist. Medicine for oral use.
Adults: 1 tablespoon 3 times a day.
Use of the drug in children and adolescents: Due to the ethanol (alcohol) content, it should not be used in children under 6 years of age.
Warnings and precautions:
Store in closed packaging at a temperature not higher than 25ºC. Protect from light. Keep out of the reach and sight of children.
Pregnancy and breastfeeding:
Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking, have recently taken or might take any other medicines, including medicines obtained without a prescription. The drug is not recommended for use during pregnancy and breastfeeding.

100 g of syrup contains 35.9 g of marshmallow root macerate (equivalent to 5 g of marshmallow root). Extractant: mixture of water and ethanol (47:1). Ethanol content (760 g/l) not more than 1.1% (m/v). Excipients: sucrose, benzoic acid (E 210).
