Orofar MAX for sore throat, mint flavor, 20 hard lozenges
Orofar MAX is a medicinal product for use in pain and irritation of the throat in pharyngitis. The drug locally anesthetizes (relieves pain) and disinfects the mucous membranes of the oral cavity.
Action:
Orofar MAX contains 2 active substances that are responsible for the anesthetic effect on mucous membranes and soothe pain (lidocaine) and an antiseptic (disinfectant) effect showing activity against bacteria, viruses and fungi (cetylpyridinium chloride).
Indications:
- inflammation and pain in the mouth,
- inflammation and sore throat.
Dosage:
Always use this medicine exactly as described in this leaflet or as directed by your doctor or pharmacist.
- The drug is for oral use in the mouth.
- The tablets should be sucked without chewing or crushing.
- The drug should be used for a short period of time; if there is no improvement, symptoms worsen or new ones appear (fever, vomiting, dizziness), consult a doctor.
Children from 6 to 12 years:
1 lozenge every 3-4 hours, depending on the severity of the pain. Do not use more than 3 lozenges a day.
Children from 12 years and adults:
- acute inflammation: 1 tablet every 1-2 hours,
- milder inflammation: 1 tablet every 2-3 hours.
Adults and people over 12 years of age should not use more than 6 lozenges a day.
Specific References
The active substances are:
Cetylpyridinium chloride (Cetylpyridinii chloridum) and lidocaine hydrochloride (Lidocaini hydrochloridum). 1 lozenge contains 2 mg of cetylpyridinium chloride and 1 mg of lidocaine hydrochloride.
Excipients:
Peppermint leaf oil, Schimmel peppermint oil, levomenthol, acesulfame potassium, corn starch, citric acid monohydrate, macrogol 6000, microcrystalline cellulose, magnesium stearate, sorbitol.
